Charlotte Restorative Dentistry

Your smile today may not be as brilliant as you would like it to be. Years of wear and tear, injury, or poor care can hurt the look and function of your teeth. Your East Charlotte Dental team changes lives every day through restorative dentistry. Let us rejuvenate your smile today!

Cosmetic Fillings

When the decay has been taken out of the tooth, it is replaced with “filling” material.  With advancements in dentistry, you can now have tooth-colored fillings instead of silver fillings. These fillings match the color of your tooth, making it look as if it has never been filled.

Crowns

Your teeth undergo a tremendous amount of wear and tear during your lifetime. Teeth may show this wear in a variety of ways, including discoloration, chipping and cracking. If you have pain when chewing or temperature sensitivity, ask us if crowns are for you. Crowns restore your teeth and your smile to look brilliant once again.

Tooth-colored or porcelain crowns can be shaded to match your other teeth. Crowns can also be made of precious metal, like gold. After some tooth preparation, crowns are specially fitted to give you back the look and functionality of your smile.

At Home Tooth Whitening

If you are happy with the alignment and spacing of your teeth, a tooth whitening procedure may be all that separates you from a bright, white smile. Tooth whitening is safe, effective and long lasting.

Your custom home whitening kit involves a special tray that is customized to fit over your teeth. You also receive prescription whitening gel, which is inserted into the tray before you wear it. Your East Charlotte Dental dentist will provide you with detailed instructions about how long you should wear the tray each day. You should expect the entire home whitening process to take between two and four weeks, leaving you with a radiant smile.

Bridges

When teeth are missing, your smile undergoes significant changes. Missing teeth cause you to chew differently, may cause mouth pain, and as your remaining teeth work to compensate for the loss, gaps and spaces form that only make the situation worse.

A porcelain bridge, custom designed by your doctor at East Charlotte Dental, can keep your smile aligned and your bite functional. Bridges are anchored to existing teeth or crowns on either side of the missing tooth. They are semi-permanent, meaning they can only be affixed or removed by a dentist and are a long-term restorative solution to your damaged smile.

Full Dentures

After a tooth loss, your confidence can fade and your appearance can feel transformed. With full dentures, you can get back to your normal life. Offering only the most advanced, removable dentures to best fit you, East Charlotte Dental will guide you every step of the way.

Our team creates custom dentures made for you, helps you select the shade and determines the perfect shape. You walk away with great fitting dentures that look just like real teeth. Smiling is just the beginning.

Partial Denture

Partial dentures are used if you have several teeth missing that cannot be corrected with a bridge. The denture is removable and designed to fit comfortably and blend in with any remaining teeth.

This type of denture is made from a synthetic material that is supported with a lightweight metal. It mimics your gum tissue and teeth to create a natural looking smile while remaining functional. The partial is important once the teeth have been removed as it preserves the bone and keeps existing teeth from tilting and drifting in toward the gaps.
